2018 will see the inaugural Chester 10K brought to you by the organisers of the MBNA Chester Marathon and Essar Chester Half Marathon.
All finishers will receive a technical T-shirt, bespoke medal and a top quality goody bag. Cash prizes will be awarded for the first three male and female runners, as well as the first male and female age group winners.

Entries opened at midnight on the 1st January, just as all the fireworks start to be set off to signal the start of 2018 and the race is now full.

The fast course starts near the iconic Northgate Arena and heads north-west out of the City along wide roads allowing runners to rapidly settle into race pace, then passing through the picturesque village of Mollington, before returning to the heart of Chester City centre and finishing outside the historic Victorian town hall and Medieval Cathedral.
You can expect some fast times over this 10K course, hosted on fully closed roads with chip timing. Can you be the one to set the first course record and win the race?
Drinks & Toilets
Drinks stations with bottled water, will be positioned in the village of Mollington at the 5K mark.
Toilets will be located around the start pens, at the drink station and after the finish.
Location & Venue
The Roman and Medieval city of Chester is an international destination city, and has much to offer visitors, including the Roman walls and amphitheatre, shopping on its unique split-level Rows dating from the Middle Ages, the famous Eastgate Clock and museums. On the outskirts of the City are the massive Cheshire Oaks Designer Outlet, Chester Zoo and the Blue Planet Aquarium.
All our races are licensed by UK Athletics and run under their rules. To run the Chester 10K you must be at least 15 years old on race day.
