Back by popular demand!

Following from the success of our training runs during the build up to last year's MBNA Chester Marathon, we're going to be putting on a series of free, informal "pop along and join in" training runs.

These runs will give you the opportunity to run with others, attend free seminars and chat about your training.  Many have found them useful to pick up hints, tips and motivation as well as benefitting from the chance to run as part of a group.

We meet in the cafe area at Total Fitness, Liverpool Road, Chester CH2 1AQ at 9am and run along the traffic free Greenway before returning for coffee, cakes and a chat.

We split into different groups based on distance and pace, so there should be a group for everybody, from those who want a long/fast run to those who'd rather do a couple of miles walk/jog. We're a friendly bunch and no one should feel under pressure to do any more than they want to or are capable of doing.

5 February           Training run   - cancelled due to weather conditions - apologies

4 March            Training run

1 April              Training run

6 May               Training run (& one week to go to the 2012 Cheshire Oaks Chester Half Marathon)

10 June              2 ½ hours seminar, "17 weeks to the MBNA Chester Marathon" geared towards experienced and first time marathon runners, followed by a 1 hour run.

8 July               Training run

5 August            Training run   

2 September     Training run

30 September    "One week to go to the 2012 MBNA Chester Marathon".  Short briefing with hints and tips for the final week and the big day,before going out on our last pre-race Sunday run.

 

When you the enter the race, you'll get monthly emails with race news, updates and more information about the training runs.
