Be Part of an Amazing Spectacle
We are looking for enthusiastic people to help make the MBNA
Chester Marathon a special event. Our team of volunteers will use
their different skills to contribute to a race that is enjoyed by
all our marathon athletes - and we think you'll enjoy being part of
it to. We'd love you to join in.
Benefits
Volunteers don't only contribute to a safe and enjoyable race -
you'll also have a lot of fun doing it. Not to mention the sense of
accomplishment that comes with being part of something which is
really appreciated by the athletes. And you'll be supporting our
athletes as they raise a forecast £1 million for local and national
charities.
MBNA Chester Marathon will be a lot of fun, not just for the
athletes, but for you too.
You'll receive a Race Crew long sleeved technical T-shirt, goody
bag, sandwich and a drink, and the thanks of
5,000 appreciative runners.
How Can I Help?
You don't need any special skills to volunteer - just common
sense and a smile. We're looking for help with:
- Distribution of race flyers
- Course set up
- Venue set up
- Course marshals
- Venue marshals
- Drink Station teams
- Athlete Recovery team
- Course pack-up
- Venue pack-up
- Drivers, to pick up those who retire from the race and
delivering equipment and supplies around the course
If you do have any other particular experience or skills you
think we might need, then please let us know.
Bring Your Friends
Why not volunteer with a group of friends, workmates, running
club or community group! Why not run one of the drinks stations as
a club?
Meet New Friends
Alternatively why not just come and join the team and meet some
new friends? If you are coming to watch, why not get involved and
offer your services for a few hours?
