Our COVID Race Entry Guarantee (CREG)

All our race entries are covered by our COVID Race Entry Guarantee (CREG), providing you with extra reassurance about entering our events. Should one of our events be cancelled due to COVID-19, our CREG means we will automatically guarantee you a place into the next scheduled race for that event, by deferring your Race Place free of charge. If you are not able to run on the re-scheduled date, for any reason, there will be other options available to you, which will be communicated to you at the time. 

Our Covid-19 Event Commitments

The health, safety and welfare of our runners, volunteers, staff, contractors, stakeholders, the public and local community will always remain our priority. 

The delivery of our events is fully compliant with guidelines from our governing body, local council and the Government regarding Covid-19 event safety.

Just like any event we organise, we will continue to follow the latest advice and work closely with all stakeholders and suppliers to ensure our events run smoothly and remain safe. 

The Covid-19 pandemic is a highly dynamic situation and has provided the need for additional thinking and new ideas. Every aspect of our events are under review and we will continually adapt and adjust our event plans as appropriate. 

Please rest assured we are continually working behind the scenes with stakeholders and leading crowd management specialists to deliver a safe and amazing experience for our runners.

We are working on and developing a number of different scenarios that could be required.

Such scenarios might include: 
Earlier race start times, more space at start, start waves and staggered start times to minimise the number of runners at the start and on route at any one time, specific event guidelines for participants to follow, providing enhanced hygiene facilities throughout the event venue, adapting drink station handouts to minimise/remove runner to volunteer contact, temporarily suspending or adapting our baggage storage facilities, altered race routes, streamlining our finish area to speed up runner throughflow and prevent congestion, and introducing a temporary ban on supporters or spectators. 

Full details of any measures we may be required to enable us to host COVID-secure events and to ensure the safety of everyone involved, will be confirmed nearer to race day.
