Feel amazing as you run for your local children’s hospice, Claire House Children’s Hospice – this year’s official race charity. The hugely popular event is one of the UK's longest running and well known half marathons and guides you past some of the city’s most famous landmarks. Whether you’re a beginner training for your first run or a keen competitor chasing your personal best, the Essar Chester Half Marathon is not to be missed. Cheering supporters will motivate you and your fellow Claire House runners as you return to the city centre, passing the Chester Town Hall and Medieval Cathedral. You’ll feel fantastic as you cross the finish line on Northgate Street, with a spectacular backdrop of the Cathedral. The event fills up quickly, so sign up early to have fun, enjoy the vibrant atmosphere, and do something amazing for a local charity.

There are two ways to run for Claire House:
Run for FREE by securing a Claire House charity place and pledge to raise £150 in sponsorship.

Get your own place. Fill out the entry form to automatically let us know that you have already registered for the event and wish to fundraise for Claire House, raising as much as you can.

What you’ll get:
We will send you a fundraising pack, which will include your running vest, sponsorship forms and information about Claire House. Our events team will be here every step of the way to support you as you train and fundraise.
