2024 Prize Fund
The MBNA Chester Marathon 2024 cash prize fund is shown below. All prizes will be based on gun time in the race.
In addition to the prizes below we are offering a £500 bonus to the first man to break 2 hours 20 minutes and the first woman to break 2 hours 35 minutes.
Prizes are equal for male and female runners, with cash prizes for the top five and for age group and team prize winners.
The overall prizes for male and female top five will be awarded:
1st place £1,000
2nd place £750
3rd place £500
4th place £250
5th place £150
The first male and female finisher in each 5 year age group from 35-39 onwards, will be awarded a £50 cash prize.
If a runner wins a prize in more than one category, the prize of the higher value will be awarded.
Club prizes based on cumulative times:
Men 1st 4 runners £100
Women 1st 3 runners £75
