Race Route
Our innovative metric marathon route takes in the historic city centre sights and the scenic villages of Cheshire.
Below is an interactive map of the Metric Marathon route (Dark Blue line) which you can zoom in and out of to see the route, drink stations and first aid locations.

Runners leave the racecourse and head into the City centre passing the Town Hall, Cathedral, split level Middle Ages "Rows", Eastgate Clock and Amphitheatre before leaving Chester along Boughton.
Turning down Sandy Lane the route passes alongside the River Dee and through Huntington onto rural country lanes. After running through Aldford then you join the marathon runners in Churton on the return to Chester, to finish on Castle Drive.
First Aid at the start, along the course and at the finish will be provided by St John Ambulance.
